[ILUG] mod_gzip for Proxying ??

[ILUG] mod_gzip for Proxying ??

I ntoiced the mod_gzip article on linux and started wondering.
Is there a way to modify apache to act as a proxy that would
gzip the content so you would get an open source version
of what the E-Merge webonair client does, aka without the
lossy image compression.

Why bother, well I dialin via ISDN to work and then have access
to a 34Mb internet link and compression on web pages would
let me squueze more out of the ISDN :o).

Regards,
Kevin
