I am running sendmail 8.9.3 and it stops moving mail for no apparent
reason sendmail just stops listening on port 25. I have looked in the logs
and there is nothing there to say why it stopped.
The site has a fair volume of email about 20-25k messages every 12 hours
amounting to about 2-3gigs in volume. We are running the same sendmail
version in other sites with similar volumes and identical hardware/linux
versions.
Any advance most welcome on how to track this problem down ?
Also I am interested in hearing peoples comments on running qmail
and exhim in similar size sites , in particulat if you are running lots
of address rewriting and odd things?
