[ILUG] simulating a leased line for testing

Here is all I can get off the NTU.  It is a Nokia Dassnet.  Type
DS60100.13/M3170
This is about all that is on the NTU.  It's gotten the usual row of green
indicator lights on front and two rocker switches for ST/DL and LL/RL.

I don't think I can give you much more information.  I have seen a DTE to
DCE cable on ebay (thanks Dave Murphy) for $26, and from what you say this
should do the job for me.  Am I right?  Will it work with all models of
Ciscos or specific ones.  Thanks to all for you help.

You should be able to do this on all the NTU I know off.
Can you describe what kind of NTU you have and I
will get you the pins that need to be crossed.

BTW The cisco cable you need is a DCE cable and
your local Cisco partner should be able to lend you
one for a few hours. As for expensive they are the
same cost as a normal DTE cable give or take a few
pounds. You can also get custom cables which
are DTE one end and DCE the other so you dont
have to plug the DTE into the DCE which is handy if
you do lots of this kind of things. You can guess
what I do for a living ;-)
