[ILUG] SNMP questions...

Any SNMP experts out there ?

I was playing with ucd-snmp ages back, and got it working. Just tried to
get it working again, with no luck. No idea what I've not done this time.

To start off simple, I'm keeping the standard "public" token. nice simple
server config file;

# cat /etc/snmp/snmp.conf
com2sec notConfigUser default plebian
group notConfigGroup v1 notConfigUser
group notConfigGroup v2c notConfigUser
view systemview included system
access notConfigGroup "" any noauth exact systemview none none

syslocation Antefacto Offices, Dublin
syscontact Root <cluster at sunnydale.antefacto.com>

proc mysqld 10 4
proc httpd 10 4

So - why aren't the "proc" things turning up in the output ?

What does "com2sec" mean ? What's all the notConfigUser stuff mean ?
What's sysORTable, and what does it mean ? Why is the documentation
completely and utterly useless ? Why is the tutorial on the ucd SNMP site
only about the client side stuff ?

Kate, confused
