hi all,
I was reading an article from Linux Magazine that I downloaded from the net
recently. It was an interview with the man himself, Linus. He was asked a
question about applications and Linux, and he said the following about
StarOffice:
LT: That's one of the reasons I'm really happy that Sun got bludgeoned into
making StarOffice really open. The difference between StarOffice being
available basically for free on CDs and [StarOffice] being GPLed is that the
next version of StarOffice will be on every single Linux distribution.
Is StarOffice on the CDs for all the new distro's (Such as RedHat 7.0/.1/.2,
and SuSe 7.1 etc)? Also, if I download the ISO for one of these distro's
will StarOffice be included.
If you feel that this isn't really relevant to the list, just send it
directly to me.
Thanks in advance,
Shane.
