Unfortunately MH does this on a regular basis.


While I'm responding...  in that spirit, I heartily recommend _The
X-Windows Disaster_ from the Unix-Hater's handbook.

Just read it yesterday and ouch, does it ring true.   Well, I'll qualify
that: it rings true if you consider only X without GNOME/GTK+/KDE/Qt;
nowadays those toolkits have fixed/papered-over most of the breakage
described therein.   But that essay certainly brings back memories of
TOTAL CONFUSION,
