[ILUG] XFree 4.02 and KDE2.1

[ILUG] XFree 4.02 and KDE2.1

List,

I installed KDE2.1 with XFree3 no probs., on a FreeBSD 4.2-Release box.
I upgraded to Xfree4.02 after a Linux format recommendation.

The problem is now every time I try to start kdm or kde I get the following
core dumps.

Mar 16 03:44:05 dublin /kernel: pid 1083 (ksplash), uid 1001: exited on signal
11 (core dumped)
Mar 16 03:44:06 dublin /kernel: pid 1084 (kdeinit), uid 1001: exited on signal
11 (core dumped)
Mar 16 03:44:08 dublin /kernel: pid 1085 (knotify), uid 1001: exited on signal
11 (core dumped)
Mar 16 03:44:08 dublin /kernel: pid 1086 (ksmserver), uid 1001: exited on
signal11 (core dumped)

From the time stamp, I was up late trying to solve this. I uninstalled KDE2.1
and reinstalled the packages. Is this a know issue? or do I need some new libs
for Xfree4.02? Has anyone else encountered this.
