Windows is a networking whore - it'll swap packets with anything.
Filter the bejaysus out of it. I had a flat 'drop everything in
any direction' in front of the PDC I used to be responsible for.
To shut it up you need to block TCP and UDP on ports 135, 137, 138, 139
and 445 (Win2K).
