Went into Hodges Figgis yesterday to pick up my cheap copy of SuSE Pro
7.1 (as discussed earlier this month) only to find that they had only
one left. When the guy went to get it from behind the counter he said -
"hang on a minute, that can't be right . . . " and that was the end of
the cheap deals.
Based on the fact that personal was more expensive than professional, it
looks very much like someone just mis-labeled the boxes. He checked the
prices on the many copies of 7.0 which were sitting around waiting to be
returned and they were something like £76, so it looks like Chalkmore
aren't so bad after all. Hodges Figgis were selling personal for
£46ish.
Rats, so much for a good deal.
