On a SuSE 6.4 box I'm having trouble getting kernel NFS to work properly.
knfs rpm is installed, rc.config configured to start knfsd but when I start
/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfsserver I get the error: nfssvc: Invalid argument
and tracing the script show that this is an error from this line:
/usr/sbin/rpc.knfsd 4
and it seems to me that the reason for this is that rpc.kmountd doesn't
start - it can't be seen in a ps listing, although there's no error when it
actually runs from the nfsserver script, nor when you run it by hand. Any
ideas as to what might be bothering rpc.kmountd ?

Niall
