[ILUG] fsck on mounted filesystems

[ILUG] fsck on mounted filesystems

I had heard that 2.4.0 was quite unstable alright but was hoping 2.4.1 would be
OK. I've just downloaded 2.4.2 now and I'll bring it home tonight and give it
a shot but I don't think this is the problem, or at least I hope not. Another
filesystem corruption is all I need right now (Windeze nackered my other 20G
fat disk last week, hence new disks and hopefully new filesystem).

I have a strange feeling that I read somewhere that kernel 2.4.1 was
unstable (more than normal, obviously) and causes filesystem corruption.
Not 100% sure about this though so don't take my word for it!

And if you give us any more trouble, I shall visit you in the small hours and
put a bat up your night-dress. - Basil Fawlty
