Just a thought, but it might be best not to approach this with a ... um ...
belligerent (sp?) mindset. The villified companies will imho be unlikely to
be receptive to The Message.
Just out of curiosity, what /is/ The Message? Is it `fiber to every home'?
Something like a universal access requirement, but for fibre, which any
company can hire off the `infrastructure company'? Might this be a valid
goal?
Is The Message `broadband for everybody in the big cities'? Anyway, it might
be best to phrase it in a positive way, rather than a negative way.
Me, I favour a `Fibre For *Everybody*' approach. This could and (imho) should
be the goal. Perhaps the government should own the actual fibre in the
ground, but lease it to any company that wants to pump stuff down it? I
don't know, but I would suggest that this is just as likely to happen as
adsl from eircom...
Just a thought,
Wesley.
