Anyone know what the story is here. It keeps telling me that there are
no viewers. I would have thought that .tar.gz would be as fundamental as
view a text file. Or maybe I'm wrong.
Also seems that the "File Types" options under Gnome Control Centre is a
little broken. I wanted to assign acroread as the application for
reading .pdf files. It let me set the icon but when I tray and add an
application to the application list it bombs out. I was using the latest
Ximian Gnome with Evolution 0.9 installed before installing Nautilus. Is
there any config files that I can modify directly to specify the
application to use ???
<rant> RedCarpet channels NEED to be updated more often. They spend all
that time developing the damn thing and making it easy for bleeding edge
updates and then leave Gnome 1.4 Beta at Beta 1. We are already on RC1
:-(
