I use the Highspeed service, and connect to EircomNet free service. To
their credit, I have only ever had to redial to connect about 4 times in the
last 9 months. (this is using the south dublin number 2171101) The other
advantage is I can use a modem and ISDN TA and call the same number. I know
of people using Esat ISDN services which require a redial at least twice
during most times of the day.
The other nice thing, is that you can use the internet and talk on the phone
at the same time, great for helping those family members!

Subject: [ILUG] High speed connections
So what is the best option for fast net access. Is "Eircom HighSpeed" worth
getting or is someone going to roll out ADSL in South Dublin in the next 6
months or so??
There is a 6 week waiting list for Highspeed!!!
Thanks
Justin
