RedHat, like most of the major distributions, supplies a patched kernel
by default. You can see exactly what patches they use by installing the
kernel-source.src.rpm (as opposed to kernel-source.i586.rpm) and having
a look in /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/ and ../SOURCES
The rawio patch in particular can be found here:
