Got a query from one of our IT people. He wants to use a tape autoloader to
keep 2 weeks worth of tapes available and to backup a series of redhat boxes
onto this tape set.
The idea is to use an autoloader connected to a dedicated RH server and to
have that backup a series of RH6.x and RH7.x boxes around the house.
He's mainly concerned with a "plug and play" kind of setup whether that
means proprietry software with a support contract or open source with a
support contract (I guess the support contract is required).
Any thoughts?
