[ILUG] Telnet Question?

The most likely reason is that the Sun box is doing a reverse DNS
lookup against the IP address that you are telnetting from. Try doing
a ping from the Sun box to the Linux box using its name. If it doesnt
work put an entry on the Sun boxes /etc/hosts file and make sure you
can ping it by name then.

If you can ping it by name you should then get telnetted in straight away.
