[ILUG] floppy is acting weird

[ILUG] floppy is acting weird

Hi all,

I installed RH6.1 on an old P75 a while ago, it was a bit of a hassle but eventually it went on and things were running fine until
recently when the floppy started acting and wouldn't mount....it doesn't appear to be a drive failure 'cause i can boot from the floppy.
A few weeks ago when i tried to mount it (not literally :) it would throw up an error saying there was a problem with it in fstab, i fixed this and all was ok for another while, but last night the fsckin thing packed in again, now it says something along the lines of "no filesystem specified"

i have checked fstab and the floppy line reads as follows:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto, option 0 0

I dont know anything about the operation of the floppy so i'm at a loss here.

one more thing when i looked at the floppy in a KDE window it said there was a folder called 'hello' there..........but there wasn't last time i checked the disk.

Thanks again

Sam
