[ILUG] email to mobile

[ILUG] email to mobile

At one time you were able to send email from a mobile using an sms
enhancement. What you did was go to new message, type the email address, a
space then your message and send it to 086 6055506. i haven't used this in
years, so whether it still works, I couldn't tell you. The service is
operated by a crowd caled Go2Mobile, so you could hunt around go2mobile.com.

On the same topic, is there software out there that lets you mess with the
settings on a nokia using linux. I have all the sw for windows, for logos,
for ringtones, for those flashing messages, and the Nokia service program -
but is there anything out for Linux?

Subject: [ILUG] email to mobile

question: In america you can send emails to mobile phones. This is because
of an email to sms gateway i think. I was wondering if there is one in
ireland/if it is possible to do it here.
does anyone know?
