unsecure server, and then kindly does the same to all the other servers
around it.

Don't leave a standard install of RH 6.2 connected to the 
Internet.   Remove all the stuff you don't need - and upgrade Bind.

(This was a customer's box - installed on Friday, cracked by Monday).
