Now, you say you can't su to OR login as root? First, check /etc/passwd
and check what root's shell is set to. If it is set to <PATH>/ksh, and
then chances are this is what's causing the problem. In this case try
running:
su - -c"/bin/bash" to su to root from where you can fix the problem. If
this doesn't work, you can also boot from your RH6.2 CD, type "linux rescue"
at the LILO Boot prompt, mount your / partition and fix it from there,
