[ILUG] linking causing pain & suffering...

Working on a Sunday is bad. What's worse is because you thought that
-static wouldn't screw things up.

For some reason, this big mess of threaded C++ worked fine, when linked
dynamically on my own box. Uploaded it to another - it moaned about not
having the exact version of libstdc++. So, I linked it statically...and
then it all broke. Of course, I didn't think it was the -static bit for
about six hours....

 Anyone know why ?

Kate
