[ILUG] Unable to handle kernel paging request

[ILUG] Unable to handle kernel paging request

Niall O Broin niall at linux.ie
Wed May 30 10:14:17 IST 2001

I just got the above error on a colo'ed box which is a bit distressing, to
say the least. This happened coincidentally with a change to a userland
service but I can't see that it would gobble memory - it's a little Perl
app. which might consume a few MB at most. Is this the error message which
one gets when one encounters the infamous kernel OOM situation ?
