I've just installed OpenSSH and am trying to figure out how it
works.
I'm connecting between a local linux box and a remote solaris box.
Linux: OpenSSH_2.9p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x00905100
Solaris: SSH Secure Shell 2.4.0 (non-commercial version) on sparc-sun-solaris2.7
Current problem is that scp fails to work:
[brendan at wivenhoe newpan]$ scp getdates.sps brendan at isergp3.essex.ac.uk:/ufs/iserhome/users/brendan/work/ltr/v2beta/newpan/
brendan at isergp3.essex.ac.uk's password:
scp: warning: Executing scp1 compatibility.
scp: FATAL: Executing ssh1 in compatibility mode failed (Check that scp1 is in your PATH).
lost connection
Is it simply that the two versions are simply not very compatible?
(ssh to log in works fine.)
Brendan
