How do I go about setting up a machine with both a NIC and a modem?
How does it manage the dual identity? i.e. the dynamic IP it gets
from the ppp connection, and the static connection to another local
machine through the NIC and a cross-wired cable?
I set up the NIC using RH6.2 and it overwrote resolv.conf, but I
can't get it to talk to the laptop.
What should I be looking at, how should I be thinking?
