For the lazy;
It's using NAT to masquerade boxes behind the NAT box. You give your
NATting box a few IPs, and then NAT various external IP:port combos on
your NAT box to boxes behind it.
In the Real World, NAF is called "IP Masquerading". And it uses NAT to do
the job.
