Not sure if this applies to your particular model but region free can cause
problems, DVDs are being released now which won't work on region free DVDs.
The trick used is something along the lines of adding an empty region 1 track
at the beginning of a region 2 DVD. A region 2 player will skip this track
and move on to the real ones. A region free player will see thistrack, switch
to region 1 and then be unable to play the region 2 tracks!
The ideal is a player which also allows you to select the region manually.
