Nope, none of the above. :( They are, apparently, quite capable; but I
would imagine Eircom (like most DSL isps) do not want you messing with
the settings, so probably wouldn't give you the password.
In the Telstra case (which I'm using here in Oz), they simply act as a
PPPoE endpoint for your desktop machine (or linux machine acting as a NAT
firewall & router, ahem ;)
