Hey,
I wonder can anyone help me out. I updated my hardware yesterday,
new motherboard, chip, cd-rw, usb printer etc. I got the G-Force
working yesterday. However, I still have problems.
The on-board sound is picked up as a VIA chipset and uses the via82cxxx
module. However, it won't load on boot or using insmod, modprobe and
family. Here are the errors from modprobe (insmod just spits a load of
unresolved symbol errors):
root at headache:~#modprobe via82cxxx
/lib/modules/2.2.16-22/misc/sb.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.2.16-22/misc/sb.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.16-22/misc/sb.o failed/lib/modules/2.2.16-22/misc/sb.o: insmod via82cxxx failed
Also, seeing as though I'm asking questions, has anyone successfully set
up a HP 845C usb printer with linux? I haven't really looked into it yet
but I said I'd ask anyway. Someone might be able to save me some time :)
Cheers.
