yeah, if you said "medium" or "high" to the security setting in the
installation it'll have installed a firewall.

You need to disable it (assuming you don't want it).

Temporarily done by 

/etc/rc.d/init.d/ipchains stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables stop

I know there's another command wihch also does this as well after last time
we had this coversation on the list.
