I'm using a Norwegian keymap in Linux, and backquote is a bit funny there, too.
I usually press the key involved twice, and it's printed. If I was to produce
accents, I press backquote plus a letter. I guess I could redefine a key to
do backquote straight away, but there aren't many keys left, since I'm used
to a 29-letter alphabet ;)
