[ILUG] xine

hi,
i wanted to use xine on my pc at home so i downloaded the xine cvs rpms
for redhat 7.1 and all the other files d4d etc... anyway the film plays
ok and all i can hear the sound to i cannot see the image if is just
black. playing avi's is the same just a black screen.

machine specs:
atlon 950
128 mbram
voodoo3 2000 pci graphics
and all the other bullshit.

i started the player with the comand line.Their you can see all the
information relating to the player all seem to load up ok even divx
which i had problem getting to work. it it just that the cvs version is
broke or what,or has anyone had a simmilar problem and fixed it. its a
very anoying bug(problem).

( i have a hardware player so i am  ok for watching dvd's , the player
is region 2 samsung 511 and can be soft cracked to play any region or
select a region, bought it in argos have tested it playing region 1 dvd
and it works like a charm.)

help me please...
also if anyone has a copy of Redhat 7.2 lying around i would pay for a
copy or what ever it takes (bar downloading it myself)
