First off have you compiled mtrr into your kernel?
If so may I suggest you get latest version of xine making sure that you
make uninstall on any and all other versions of xine ok?
Get
xine-lib-0.9.1.tar.gz
xine-ui-0.9.1.tar.gz
xine_css_dvd_0.3.8.tgz
xine_dmd_plugin_0.9.2.tgz
ok?
I think the last one to install would be xine-ui-0.9.1.tar.gz
and if you remember to run ldconfig as root after the install & or edit
/etc/ld.so.conf to point to /usr/local/lib or /usr/local/lib/xine
also you may need to pass ./config --disable-gtktest
or
I could try and build you a gzip package if you really need it
