I like to think of myself as neither boring nor lazy. I'll be spending the day
in question engrossed in stimulating activity; I'm planning on sorting my
socks according to the size of the holes, and graphing the results. I'm then
then going to use a calipers on the socks and attempt to gauge the wear
theron[1] in an attempt to find the most durable material, and calculate the correlation
between durability and hole size.

[1]Obviously this will only be an estimate, albeit an educated one. My
extensive studies over the years have given me a feel for wear of Dunne
Stores' socks that's become instinctive.
