[ILUG] Controlling Internet Access

Squid, you can see exactly who wen't where, checked out where the missus was
visiting www.playgirl.com and then show it to her ma when she comes over -
OK I made that last bit up...

Squid can do all that. user authentification and total control over where
you go, you can implement ACL's and stuff. I love it. Its stable, very
stable and very easy to setup.

-----------------
Folks,
I need to implement a solution that will allow me to grant Internet access
to people based on their logon usernames + password for a Windows Domain
that are logging into. I also need to be able to monitor or report on
sites visited and restrict site access by user, as well as speeding up net
access by the use of caching of pages.

I'd like to use a Linux solution for this if possible.

Can any of you point me in the right direction to get started so that I
don't end up going around in circles before achieving anything.

Thanks,

Dermot.
