Got an idea that I want to run past you all before it gets implemented
- as it has the potential to mildly irritate some people.
I was thinking of setting up a cron job to look for new ILUG stories
from the news database at the top of the hour and mail off an rdf
style summary to the list (and/or people that have elected to be mailed
such info) - this way the likes of people that have allergic reactions
to webbrowsers will still be able to remain current with regard to whats
I'm interested in knowing whether the majority of list subscribers would
find this a useful addition or more than a minor irritant.
Seeing as news items are only added maybe 2 or 3 times a week, I don't
personally think this functionality would be irritating, but at the same
time I don't want to irritate the majority of the list at the same time.
