I've got a couple of PCs lying around and I got to thinking...hmmm, what if
I gutted one of them, put it into a slimline case with a CD drive, hard
drive, an IR receiver and an LCD display - could I build a MP3 player out of
it to hook up to a stereo where I could plonk it into the stack?
Has anyone thought about this before? I've seen a few sites where there's
some attempts at doing it but I'm more interested in knowing how big a deal
it would be to do? Could you install your favourite distro, some kind of
automated CD ripper, some MP3 software and a few other bits and bobs and
away you go?
Food for thought...
