There are specific Irish laws concerning discrimination on marital & family status, age, disability, race, sexual orientation, religious belief and membership of the travelling community which protect everyone in Ireland even if they only entered the country 15 minutes ago irrespective from where they come - the law is against the transgressor (the employer).
