Well perhaps your status as an impartial observer is the problem. Kathryn
has obviously had her belly full of recruitment agencies trying to push
candidates on here which she doesn't want, and I've in the past dealt with
incompetent recruiters also. Somebody (sorry, I've forgotten your name and I
deleted the post - I keep a tindy inbox :-) ) made a quite long and very
reasoned post about the number of ways in which recruitment agencies screw
things up. If I were hiring, I'd hope that a recruitment agency would act as
a filter but very often they seem to act more like a funnel.
I've personally had recruitment agencies send me details of vacancies which
were completely Windows oriented but for some reason had the word Unix
somewhere in them - the one word was enough for them to decide it might be a
post for me.
