What you really need to do is install all the ximian stuff.
I wouldn't recommend using it with Mandrake 8.1 though. In fact
there isn't a version of ximian out yet for that. So I installed
the version for Mandrake 8.0, which I assumed would be largely
compatible. Until I tried to send an email, which causes Evolution
to segfault. It works grand at receiving email though :)
Also, the executive summary thing doesn't really work behind a
proxy, and there's no way to tell it to use one that I could see.
I switched to kmail, which seems to be roughly twice as fast at
doing almost everything. It's now (well since I last used it)
got the "Create filter based on email" thingy that I first saw
in Evolution. The only thing it's missing is the virtual folders
which are fairly useless anyway.
