 Arse. People who don't understand car engines still want one that can be
serviced by anyone, not just by the manufacturers sanctioned dealer.
People just don't know about the source. But they are coming around.

 True. And I don't think it'll ever go away. I just wish it did. I was out
onsite with a customer last week, trying to debug performance issues with
his software using our companies hardware. 

 No source, no idea what was going on, bar guesswork. At least he had
heard about the Gartner report, and wished he'd heard it before he spent
all the money...
