But, even with all that meandering verbiage, I'm confident that you
didn't miss the main point:   Even the utterly dumb-ass, purblind
ones with their views issued by corporate management _benefit_ from 
the source code being permanently available to those who _do_ make
use of it.

I know this because both of those DeScribe documents shouted the point
out in unison.  They say they're frustrated at how resistant to basic
common sense some LUG mailing list posters are.  (Don't blame me if that
sounds a little harsh:  I'm just quoting.)
