If it can't find latex.fmt, there's something fairly basic
wrong. Reinstall, and this time follow the installation instructions
more closely? I didn't have the disk space to maintain the teTeX
source tree, so my installation instructions are long gone--I can't
really venture a more detailed guess on the subject.
