I've got a few lines that are supposed to fix that in /etc/modules
(this is Debian, by the way):
ospm_processor
ospm_button
ospm_system
Now, if my *modem* is off, it doesn't seem to power off! If I switch off
the modem after the computer, the computer powers on again. So, I
definitely have a screwy system :P
Try them anyway, you're not me, so you're bound to have more luck.
