this is driving me mad. I can't seem to get video to work. I have X4
working. I have recompiled the kernel with support for Video and inserted
the Video device module <videodev>.
Yet, no matter what I do I get this error. Has anyone any idea what I'm
doing wrong. Incidentally I'm on an
athlon 1Ghz
kernel 2.4.6
ATI All-In-Wonder 32MB (server is XFCom_Rage128
XFree4 with v4l module loading correctly.
bucatini:~# v4l-conf >~gavin/tempfile
v4l-conf: using X11 display :0.0
dga: version 2.0
mode: 1280x1024, depth=16, bpp=16, bpl=2560, base=0xd8000000
can't open /dev/video: No such device
Anyone know? I have installed GATOS (the ati TV card project) but it needs
v4l to work b4 it goes anywhere.
