Hi,
I have a server which I've setup as an NIS server. It's also the telnet server for the network.
Is it possible for the server to also be an NIS Client for itself?
The problem is that users telnetting to the server change their passwords, which has to wait for a cronjob to update the NIS databases...
They can then move to other machines, but changing their passwords there doesn't necessarily fall back to the server's passwd file.
Anyone know how I can get the two to match?!
TIA
RikD.
