[ILUG] Re: CD making

[ILUG] Re: CD making

The university of Amsterdam's Expert-Center for Taxonomic Information is
charged by UNESCO with putting everything we know about 2 million
biological species onto CDs. The market for each CD is limited. ETI makes
the masters, and sends them to a commercial outfit. After the master is
made, the fellow running the machine hits the start button, and then as
quickly as he can, the stop button. This produces somewhere between 500
and 2000 copies, depending on his reflexes.
