Hi Joe,

rpm -e packagename, you may need to query the package to see what the
dependencies are aswell - if it complains, don't use force. Now if its a
tarball, suggestions anyone?

Doing a 'nixer' for friend, he has Red Hat 7 system with all manner
of shite installed on it, its not urgent at all, but since I have a
free second I tought I would ask here..

Question is if there is a standard way of removing
'packages' - ala Solaris and pkgrm..
