Yes - afraid so - I haven't been able to find an open source product that works.  I struggled with FreeTDS for a while - maybe it's time to take another look at it..

MS SQL Server - I have tried unixODBC - but apparently you still need to buy a commercial bridge for MS SQL Server.

No - the server is set up correctly - the problem appears to be with the SQL Server Agent on the server machine - it has been set up - but the linux box complains that it can't find it.
