Hmm - well that's half the problem here - what I want is something that allows me to develop a database independent application (c++). I want to be able to swap out an SQL Server running on an NT box and swap in an Oracle db running on a Solaris box - am I kidding myself - or am I actually going to be able to do this?

Fergal.
